Library Groups and Events


The Friends  provide regular events, book launches and a monthly coffee morning on Tuesdays to which anyone and everyone is invited. This is a very good opportunity to find about the many things that are occurring locally. The Library has many uses in addition to the normal comprehensive book service, computers and free WiFI. Regular and special events are listed below:

Weekly

Children' Events (Colyton Library)
Tuesdays 3.30-4pm Booktrack. For the 5-12 year olds. Read up to 100 books with prizes along the way. They’ll be someone here to tell all about what you thought.

Friday 2nd June See a 3D printer
You don’t need a ticket to be curious and take a look
3D Printing Workshops at Colyton Library
(Tickets are required to use the Fab Lab 3D Printer)

FabLab Devon will be visiting Colyton Library this Half Term to run two 3D printing workshops for both children and adults. You will learn how to make a 3D keyring and personalise it using the latest technology and you can see designs being printed off on the 3D printer.

Both workshops are taking place on Friday 2 June and will cost £15 per person. The children’s session is suitable for children aged 8 - 16 and will run from 10.30 – 12 noon and the adult workshop will run from 1 – 2.30pm.

Booking is essential as places are limited to 10 people per workshop. You can book your place through the FabLab website HERE
